Thin Pizza Recipe

This think pizza crust recipe makes one 12-14inch pizza crust that bakes up nice and crispy.

Ingredients

Crust
2 1/4 teaspoons yeast
1/4 teaspoon granulated sugar
3/4 cup warm water
1 3/4 cups all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt

Toppings
precooked bacon
green olives, sliced
mushrooms, thinly sliced
mozzarella cheese, shredded
fresh basil, chopped

Directions

Crust

Preheat oven to 500 degrees F. Grease a pizza pan lightly with a little olive oil. Set aside.

In a mixing bowl, dissolve the yeast and sugar in the warm water and let sit for about 8 minutes.

In a separate bowl, combine the flour and salt.

Pour yeast mixture over the flour and salt and mix well.

Turn dough onto floured surface and knead for about 2 minutes.

Spread into a 12-14" circle.

Transfer to the pizza pan, stretching to the edges.

Toppings

Cover with a layer of cheese, followed by toppings and top with another layer of cheese.

Bake for 8-12 minutes or until edges are golden brown and cheese is bubbly.
