A sweet and delicious recipe for Snickerdoodles. These are a yummy treat.
2 3/4 cups flour
2 teaspoons cream of tartar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 Tablespoons sugar
1 Tablespoon cinnamon
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Stir together the flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt in a medium bowl.
In a large mixing bowl, Cream together the butter and sugar. Add the eggs and vanilla mixing until well combined.
Slowly stir in the flour mixture, beating just until the flour is incorporated.
Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes.
In the meantime, mix together the sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl.
Scoop 1 inch balls of dough and roll in the cinnamon and sugar mixture to coat.
Place on cookie sheet 2 inches apart and bake for 10 minutes.
Chill the dough in between batches.
Let cookies set on baking sheet for 2-3 minutes and then transfer to a cooling rack.
