Ground Beef And Pasta Casserole Recipe

This ground beef and pasta casserole is easy to prepare. Kids will like this simple meal.
1 lb lean ground beef
1 medium white onion, chopped into small pieces
2 garlic cloves, minced
4 1/2 cups prepared tomato/pasta sauce (choose your favorite brand of canned pasta sauce)
salt and pepper to taste
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
In a medium pot cook the ground beef with onion until no longer pink; drain all fat.
Add in garlic,cook stirring for 2 minutes.
Add canned tomato/pasta sauce and taste, if needed add salt and pepper, bring to a simmer over medium heat.
Reduce the heat to low and simmer uncovered for about 30 minutes stirring occassionally.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Meanwhile in a large pot cook the pasta in boiling water,drain and divide into individual casserole dishes or you can make in one full size casserole dish.
Pour the meat sauce over the pasta and sprinkle the grated mozzarella cheese on top.
Place in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes to heat through the casserole. Watch you do not burn the cheese.
Delicious served with a sliced baguette.
