Beer Soaked Prawns Recipe

A delicious beer prawn recipe


1 kg large prawns, peeled and deveined with tails attached
235ml beer
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
4 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1 clove garlic, minced
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/8 teaspoon hot sauce


In a large bowl, combine all ingredients. Stir well to coat the prawns.

Place in a large shallow dish and refrigerate. Let marinate for 2 to 3 hours, stirring occasionally.

Heat oven grill. Drain prawns.

Thread prawns onto six 14-inch skewers, through neck and tail, so that prawns will lie flat.

Place skewers on a lightly greased grate of an oven grill pan.

Grill 5 inches from heat for 3 minutes.

Turn skewers and grill for an additional 1 to 2 minutes, or until prawns turn pink.

Serve warm with cold beer.
